Orlan serves as EY Global Account Excellence & Innovation Leader, EY Global Life Sciences Client Service Partner, and EY Global Markets Leadership Team member.

Previously, he served as the EY Northeast G360 Accounts, Northeast Region Leadership Team member, Global Life Sciences Value Chain Innovation Leader, and Lead EY Americas M&A Transactions Life Sciences Leader. His consulting career spans strategy, operations, transformation and M&A transaction advisory services for companies and PE and VC firms in the healthcare, life sciences, consumer products and technology sectors.

Having started B2C technology and real estate ventures, Orlan is an entrepreneur. He is also an intrapreneur, having founded a number of successful alliances and service offerings with EY. He advises and invests in entrepreneurs and startups in the healthcare, life sciences, consumer, media and technology sectors.

He received a BS in Finance and International Business from NYU and completed the EY Strategic Leadership Program through Harvard Business School for Executive Education.

How Orlan is building a better working world

A passionate social entrepreneur, Orlan has launched various social change and impact ventures in publishing, documentary filmmaking, civil rights, and philanthropy.

In 2014, he received a presidential appointment by President Barack Obama to the Global Board of Governors of the United Service Organizations, where he currently serves. Orlan also serves on The Trevor Project Board of Directors, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTTQQ youth.

He is a David Rockefeller Fellow, Nantucket Project Fellow and member of the Executive Leadership Council. He was a member of the NYC LGBT Center’s Board of Directors and founder of the Center’s Young Leaders Council. In 2016, he was named on the OUTstanding and Financial Times list of the Top 100 LGBT Leaders.

He is also a film producer and author, having produced HBO’s critically acclaimed The Out List documentary film and contributed to I Am Ecowarrior and The Out List books.
