The payments industry is going through a period of radical transformation with profound changes occurring across the sector driven by emerging market players, novel technologies and expanding consumer expectations. The disruption to the traditional payments ecosystem has been rapid and impactful and has outpaced regulation in a number of areas. Regulators have therefore proposed a new wave of regulation intended to fill in any necessary gaps and ensure that proper safeguards are in place for the next generation of payment services.
These changes are happening in conjunction with legislative steps implementing the ECB’s Retail Payment Strategy as well as the first concrete signs of a revamp to PSD2. During this Seminar EY intends to deliver interactive sessions with room for discussion to industry players. A panel discussion composed of different stakeholders will also be discussing the main challenges and opportunities over the horizon.
Who should attend
This seminar is targeted towards senior management working in local financial institutions licensed in terms of the Financial Institutions Act, namely CEOs and other C-level suite members such Compliance officers and Chief Technology Officers.
