Who Should Attend?

Award in Team Leadership is meticulously designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in leadership roles. This programme is particularly targeted at those who lead teams and hold managerial positions.

Entry Requirements

To ensure that participants are adequately prepared and can fully benefit from the Award in Team Leadership, applicants should have a minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a role that involves team leadership or management responsibilities. 

Mode of attendance

This 125 hours part-time course will be delivered face-to-face at the EY Connect Centre located at EY Regional Business Center, Achille Ferris Street, Msida MSD1751. The course will be structured as following:

  • 10 trainer-led sessions of 4 hours each (total contact hours: 40 hours).
  • 83 hours of self-study would be required.
  • 2 hours exam.

Award and ECTS accreditation

This course will include a 2-hour written exam which will take place at EY Connect Centre. Guidelines will be sent to learners at registration stage and prior to examination sitting.

An Award in Team Leadership (EQF/MQF 5) will be issued to participants who attended all classes and obtain a pass mark (50%) in the final assessment. EY Connect Learning is licensed as a Higher Education Institution by the MFHEA (Licence number: 2011-011) and 5 ECTS will be accredited upon the successful completion of the above mentioned examination.

Ediana Guillaumier | Senior Manager

People Consulting Leader | EY Malta

Ediana Guillaumier leads People Consulting and Learning for EY Malta, a client-service offering that was incubated during her tenure as part of this role. After successfully setting up the learning and workforce advisory practice, Ediana started focusing on training needs assessments, skills gap analysis, development of Competency Frameworks, and People Analytics (employee engagement, benchmarking etc), amongst other talent management services. As part of this role, Ediana has coordinated and project managed learning programmes, mobilising teams, resources and content, for the efficient delivery of high-quality courses, training and workshops for small and large organisations. She has seamlessly transferred the offering to a virtual setting and successfully led a team to obtain the Education Institution Licence for EY.

Ediana sits on the Board of the Malta Federation of Human Resource Development (FHRD), the Committee of Women Directors in Malta (WDM), and is an Ambassador for E-Skills Malta Foundation. In addition, Ediana is a Certified Public Accountant, a Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a Certified Facilitator/Trainer for EY.

People Consulting | EY Malta

Mario Galea is a Manager within the People Consultancy team at EY. As part of his role, he helps clients in a wide array of people matters to support in their business strategy, including change management, learning and development, talent and performance management. Mario also assists clients in identifying competency gaps through skills gaps analysis with the aim of adopting a strategic approach to their workforce development. He has also assisted a number of clients to benchmark their competency requirements against industry standards to identify further competency gaps. Mario has also delivered training sessions related to various people skills, including effective communication and empathy at the workplace.
