Carbon Footprint: principles and methods

Introduction

This session will provide an overview of the principles of carbon measurement, both at a national and micro/company level. It will explain concepts related to carbon emissions and will look into internationally approved carbon emissions/footprint measurements. This will be done at a country level, as well as for companies/organizations. Finally, following discussion of methods, the session will look into what’s next - ways of reducing and offsetting such emissions.
