Excelerate | Intermediate Microsoft Excel Workshop

This intermediate workshop will continue building on the beginner workshop and is designed for those who want to take their Excel knowledge to the next level. A solid knowledge in basic Excel functions will act as a strong foundation, as you will expand your knowledge with the use and application of Data Validation, Pivot Tables, and several functions. Beyond the application of these functions, this training will also include basic theoretical perspectives on information management, enabling you to manage large datasets and to harness the power of Excel functionality. This session will conclude with how Microsoft Copilot can be used with Microsoft Excel.

  • Utilising text functions (LEFT, RIGHT, MID, LEN, CONCAT, FIND) for advanced data manipulation.
  • Employing the Text to Columns feature to organise complex data.
  • Applying conditional functions (IF, IFS) for decision-making analysis.
  • Using COUNTIF and COUNTIFS to perform data counting based on criteria.
  • Implementing SUMIF and SUMIFS for conditional summation of data.
  • Leveraging date functions (YEAR, MONTH, DATE, DATEDIF) for effective date analysis.
  • Applying data validation techniques to ensure data integrity.
  • Implementing XLOOKUP for efficient data retrieval across datasets.
  • Sorting and filtering data using the SORT and UNIQUE functions.
  • Creating and analysing Pivot Tables to summarise and visualise data insights.
  • Identifying key data points using the LARGE and SMALL functions.
