Areas of focus

Abhay is a director with EY, focused on building our Corporate, Commercial and SME banking (CCSB) capabilities across Asia-Pacific. He is also a part of EY’s CCSB global leadership team.

He works with clients in the CCSB space, across the region and globally, on business strategy, innovation and transformation.

Some of key engagements he has been involved include formulating and implementing global trade finance strategy, setting up transaction banking unit grounds, revamping digital corporate banking channels and designing ecosystem value proposition for a corporate and SME bank.

Prior to consulting, he spent 17 years in the banking industry. He held global and country leadership roles across corporate and transaction banking with large global banks, managing P&L, product innovation and business strategy.

He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He also holds a certificate in International Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
