Areas of focus

Dan started working in Cybersecurity in the late 1990s. He has worked with clients in public service, retail, healthcare, financial services, resources, pharmaceuticals, communications and high tech to find security solutions to meet their business needs. He holds patents around uniquely integrating security, biometrics and identity assurance technologies.

Dan has knowledge and experience in a variety of information security disciplines including security assessments, enterprise security architecture, identity management, threat and vulnerability management, cloud security and artificial intelligence. For the past several years, he has focused his efforts in the extended enterprise security space, helping client organizations integrate cloud, mobile, data and IoT security. 

He is a graduate of The University of Virginia, with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is the co-author of several SANS Information Security books and holds multiple security certifications, including SABSA, CCSK, GSEC, CSSA and CISSP.
