Allan is a qualified accountant and has over 15 years professional experience in related aspects of audit, accountancy, investigations and management consultancy covering various sectors in Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somaliland and Burundi. Allan has a wide experience in the Not-For-Profit Sector given his exposure as manager in charge of Not-For-Profit Organizations (NFPOs) audits. Because of this, he has become very resourceful regarding compliance on internal controls, reporting, compliance with the relevant state laws and grant/project agreements.
Prior to EY, Allan worked as a management trainee at Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA). He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Business Studies & Economics), from Kenyatta University. He is also a Registered Certified Public Accountant Kenya (CPAK).
How Allan is building a better working world?
Allan has led the audits of various donor funded programs/projects in East Africa. He has also been a facilitator in various workshops in Kenya and Rwanda aimed at building financial and auditing capacity within the targeted organizations/institutions. Allan has been involved in training of clients’ staff on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Audit skills. His work entailed supervision of audit teams, reviewing their work and providing guidance in planning for assignments, in execution and reporting. He also carried out detailed review of Audit Reports for various state corporations, Ministries and Donor funded Projects to improve the quality of the reports.
