Areas of focus

Julian is the EY Global Business Tax Services Leader, a tax sub-service line which comprises nearly 10,000 people worldwide. He also leads the Global EY Tax Software as a Service (SaaS) business which makes the global EY organization’s proprietary tax and law technology available to clients through a SaaS platform. 

Julian, based in London, is a Banking and Capital Markets Tax Partner at Ernst & Young LLP and serves a number of global banks HQ in the UK. Through his career he has advised clients on a wide range of tax issues, and in recent years his focus has been on customer tax operations and reporting. He also leads large bank tax audits.

Prior to joining EY in 2007, Julian spent 12 years with another Big 4 firm. He holds a Politics degree from the University of Warwick and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

As a member of the EY Global Tax Executive Committee, Julian focuses on instilling trust and developing robust relationships with business decision makers globally. Within the global EY organization, he promotes initiatives that encourage diversity and inclusion, understanding that a diverse workforce brings a wealth of perspectives and ideas that help to drive innovation and growth.
