Scott leads the Financial Crime Advisory practices for the EY Oceania and EY Asia-Pacific markets, and is based in Sydney, Australia. Scott has 20 years of experience in the areas of fraud detection and anti-money laundering compliance. While at EY, Scott has led engagements for some of the largest global financial institutions ranging from peer benchmarking, policy and procedure reviews and assessments as well as regulatory lookbacks and remediation efforts.
Throughout his career, he has spent time with front and back office functions, risk and compliance groups, data management and governance offices, and worked extensively with the technology counterparts of each. His clients have included global banks based in the US and EMEA as well as most recently banks of all sizes in Oceania and APAC.
Scott has regularly served as a key advisor to the Board of Directors of several major financial institutions and has been recognized as a global subject matter leader including publishing thought leadership pieces and presenting at conferences across the world.
Scott has a Finance degree from the University of Florida in the United States and possesses the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation and the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification.
