Tom is the EY US Financial Crimes Compliance Managed Services Leader, where he is focused on bringing innovative solutions to help our clients manage their financial crimes compliance operations and technology programs.

Prior to joining the firm, Tom served in the U.S. Navy for seven years as a surface warfare officer in various leadership, management and maritime operations positions, often in highly complex environments.

Tom holds master’s degrees from the University of Maryland and the U.S. Naval War College, and a bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University.

How Tom is building a better working world

Tom helps our clients apply the latest innovative technologies and processes to build more efficient and effective approaches to identify and prevent financial crimes. Tom leads our efforts to provide alternative delivery models for financial crime operations at our clients, including managed services and remediation efforts both nearshore and offshore. He has experience leading major anti-money laundering, sanctions, counterterrorist financing, and fraud engagements at financial institutions around the globe. Tom also frequently speaks at industry conferences and events about the latest developments in financial crime compliance.

Additionally, Tom leads our NYC-area Veterans Network, a professional resource network created by our veterans to help them connect and support one another within our organization. As a Veterans Network leader, Tom focuses on assisting veterans in our local communities and across the country through sponsorship of a variety of veterans-related activities and causes.
