Ecuador eliminates yellow fever vaccination requirement for nationals of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru

On 1 March 2025, Ecuador introduced a temporary vaccination requirement in response to rising yellow fever cases across South America. The measure followed alerts from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and applied to travelers from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
