On 18 January 2024, Slovenia confirmed it has accepted the European Commission's proposal and extended the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) for individuals impacted by the Ukraine crisis until 4 March 2025. The TPD extension went into effect on 20 January 2024 for individuals holding residence permits that are currently valid until 4 March 2024. The extension process remains the same as that for the first extension. The Administrative Unit in Slovenia will notify eligible individuals when they can collect their new permits.
