South Africa suspends amendments to immigration regulations until further notice

The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) announced that the amendments to the current immigration regulations that went into effect on 28 March 2024 have been suspended until further notice. The suspension of the proposed amendments is expected to delay new policy measures that would have benefitted employers in South Africa by enabling them to further attract and retain skilled individuals.
