EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ Asia-Pacific Class of 2024
Co-founder and COO, Telecare Australia Pty Ltd, Australia

Lina Xu is the co-founder and COO of Telecare Australia, a leading virtual medical specialist care provider that revolutionizes digital health care services. Lina spearheads the development of innovative virtual care models, seamlessly integrating them with existing health services and hospitals through public-private partnerships. These models significantly reduce patient wait times from years to mere weeks or months.

Lina’s journey began when she migrated to Australia and recognized inefficiencies within the health care system. Fueled by a passion for transformative change, she founded Telecare in 2019. The company’s focus lies in leveraging leading-edge technology to enhance care provision, accessibility and equity. In the early days, Telecare encountered challenges, including resistance to technological disruptions and the absence of established standards in virtual health care. Undeterred, Lina and her team navigated these obstacles, harnessing the power of innovation to address critical issues in an ever-evolving health care landscape.

With over 14 years of experience in public relations and financial advisory services, Lina brings a wealth of experience to Telecare. Notably, Lina served as Vice President of AU Ventures and co-founded Pebble Capital Pty Ltd as Executive Director. Her strategic positions at Universal World Trade and Investment Consulting in Hong Kong and the World Trade Center’s Association, Hong Kong Chapter, further enriched her skill set.

In recognition of her outstanding leadership, Lina was honored with the Cartier Women’s Initiative Fellowship in 2023. Telecare’s commitment to excellence caught the attention of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC), which selected the organization as the sole private entity to contribute to the development of national standards for telehealth.

Our vision is to elevate the efficiency of health care providers and organizations by establishing the standards for digital health delivery through innovative technology.
