EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ Asia-Pacific Class of 2023
Founder and CEO, mederi Co., Ltd., Japan

Arisa Sakanashi is the CEO and Founder of mederi, a Japanese company founded in 2019 that provides online contraceptive pill treatment service.

The inception of mederi was catalyzed by its CEO Arisa's own personal fertility treatment journey. The experience she went through during her treatment made her determined to create a society where as many women as possible can achieve pregnancy, childbirth and a successful career when they want.

After graduating from university, Arisa was in charge of marketing and electronic commerce operations at a major fashion shopping site and an electronic commerce consulting company. Since 2014, she has been the Director and COO of web media for women, and since 2018, she has been the CEO of the company and achieved profitability in one year.

She established mederi Co. Ltd. in 2019 and started a service in March 2020, for which her three years of experience in fertility treatment was instrumental. Arisa has developed an online pill treatment service, “mederi Pill” and a pregnancy support product, “mederi Baby.” In 2021, she was selected for the "13 projects" of the Maezawa Fund, established by businessman Yusaku Maezawa.

Arisa envisions a society where women can live and work with peace of mind. She believes mederi can provide solutions that will allow busy modern women to live according to their life stages.

Our vision is to create a society where women can live and work with peace of mind. We want to provide services for all life stages of women and allow busy modern women to easily care for themselves while staying at home.
