Turkiye announces new visa-free policy for qualifying Iraqi business visitors
Effective 1 September 2024, Iraqi nationals over the age of 50 may enter Turkiye for business purposes without a visa. The new visa-free policy was announced by Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Hakan Fidan and Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Fuad Huseyin on 15 August 2024. Iraqi business visitors over the age of 50 can now enter and remain in Turkiye for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa and conduct permitted business visitor activities. Those who seek to stay in the country for longer periods must obtain an appropriate visa or permit.
