Turkiye's Ministry of Trade announces all trade with Israel has been halted

  • On 2 May 2024, Turkiye announced measures prohibiting all import and export transactions related to Israel with immediate effect.
 

An official announcement published by the Ministry of Trade of Turkiye on 2 May 2024 states that all import and export transactions related to Israel have been stopped, covering all products. This latest measure is the "second phase" of measures taken by Turkiye against Israel, after an initial restriction on exports to Israel, which included 54 product groups, effective as of 9 April 2024.

With respect to customs operations, it is no longer permitted to register customs declarations in Turkiye where Israel is included as a country of shipment, destination or origin.
