Grant Quasha | Eco Material Technologies Inc. | South Jordan, Utah

Eco Material is North America’s leading producer and supplier of sustainable cement alternatives, serving 6,000 unique customer locations with 10 million tons per year of recycled material from more than 115 sites across 46 states. The company, which also markets and distributes fly ash and other pozzolans, has the industry’s only true national footprint of logistics networks and distribution channels. Eco Material also produces and markets nontraditional supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) via the beneficiation of landfilled/ponded ash, bottom ash and natural pozzolans. Eco Material has nine plants in production and under construction that can produce more than four million tons per year of these sustainable, “novel” SCMs.

Eco Material’s proprietary Green Cement technology utilizes fly ash and other pozzolanic materials to produce near-zero-carbon products as green substitutes for Portland cement in concrete. While the company’s standard SCMs, like fly ash, replace approximately 20% of Portland cement in concrete mixes to create a stronger, cheaper and more environmentally friendly concrete, Eco Material’s Green Cement products — PozzoSlag, PozzoCem and PozzoCem Vite — upgrade fly ash and natural pozzolans into 50% to 100% replacement products for Portland cement in concrete.
