Opportunities

EY student programs

  • Do you offer internships?

We offer client-serving internships for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Launch Internships, which are rotational internships. Our internship programs provide students with valuable learning and development opportunities while providing insight into the work we do across our service lines. Find out more.

  • What responsibilities do interns have?

Under the guidance and coaching of our professionals, interns experience working on projects such as conducting internal control reviews on an audit, helping perform tax planning or even building a bot to help one of our teams work more efficiently.

Interns also hone important skills, such as presenting and networking, while also learning about how to care for their physical, emotional, social and financial well-being. Throughout their internship, interns receive regular feedback, guidance and coaching from our professionals to help develop the skills they need to succeed.

  • I know EY supports lots of community-based initiatives. How can I get involved in my local community?

Part of our commitment to building a better working world is giving back to our communities. You’ll have the chance to use your skills, knowledge and experience to address the social challenges of our time, including leveraging EY Ripples — our global platform that brings greater scale and sharper focus to our efforts to strengthen our communities. Learn more about our corporate responsibility efforts.

  • What kind of learning and development can I expect from EY?

We invest in our future by investing in our people and believe that learning and development is a core element of your experience at EY. Life at EY

  • What are the typical hours in a working week?

That’s difficult to say because there's no typical week at EY and your hours will vary according to the project you're involved in. During busy periods, you may be asked to work longer hours and/or more regularly at client sites or in some circumstances. By communicating regularly with your team and supervisor, you'll be able to understand their expectations and plan your time effectively, enabling you to manage your work-life balance.

  • What do EY people wear at work?

Our office dress policy is "business casual," which includes jeans. This means you can wear clothes that make you feel comfortable for the day you have planned. The exception to this rule is when you're based at client sites and we encourage you to adopt the client's dress code policy.

  • What is the office social life like?

It’s diverse and inclusive. EY offices are full of individuals with diverse backgrounds and opinions united by a shared set of values. You’ll find lots of groups and networks built around interests ranging from hobbies, sports, and creative or intellectual pursuits, to volunteer and support groups, for example, for working mothers. Regardless of your background or areas of interest, you'll find colleagues who share them.

  • What is the EY approach to diversity and inclusiveness?

At EY, you’ll find a diverse and inclusive culture, where you're embraced and respected for who you are. We want you to feel like you belong here because your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We believe we can solve the toughest challenges together by valuing our differences and teaming inclusively to build safety and trust. Diverse viewpoints are the catalysts that lead to better questions and better answers. That’s when creative ideas flow, igniting innovation and inspiring more effective solutions.

We welcome all people, no matter who they are or what their background. Each of us is different, and we value and respect all EY people.

  • What is the EY approach toward environmental sustainability?

We recognize our responsibility to reduce our impact on the environment, and we also see sustainability as an important business issue for our clients.

On a global basis, we measure our carbon footprint and find ways to reduce it by:

    • Locating our offices in buildings that meet the highest standards for sustainability
    • Reducing the need for overseas travel, using video and teleconferencing instead
    • Sourcing green energy suppliers wherever possible

On an individual level, you can join one of the eco-teams in our offices that promotes responsible practices or contribute your time to a charity or organization that benefits the environment.
