Based in Houston, Greg is the EY Americas Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Leader. He helps energy companies evaluate and capitalize on complex challenges and opportunities across their tax and finance function.

With a background in law and strategy and transactions, Greg’s focus is on supporting companies to improve the sustainability and efficiency of operations through investments. He has advised clients on projects that include carbon capture use and sequestration, hydrogen, geothermal, renewable natural gas, wind, solar, and metal and metal-related investments. He also helps capital providers and funds evaluate and structure their energy investments.

Greg has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University, a Master’s in Taxation Law from the New York University School of Law and a Juris Doctor qualification from Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He writes and speaks regularly on energy tax and transactions for industry publications and conferences.
