John Hodges

John draws on 30-plus years of experience gained from working in dozens of countries to counsel EY global sustainability professionals and clients as they design solutions to help organizations meet their business objectives.

John helps public entities and companies to access the firm’s deep sustainability knowledge and address risk and opportunities to drive long-term value and advance their strategic agenda.

John advises organizations on corporate governance; sustainability strategies; responsible investing; environmental, social and governance (ESG) due diligence; and ESG risk management. He also leads climate change, nature risk and sustainability efforts.

John previously served as an executive at a business network and consultancy; a CEO and entrepreneur at a carbon offset and environmental project company; and a World Bank economist.

John received an MPA from Harvard University, an International MBA from the University of South Carolina, and a degree in International Trade and Finance from Louisiana State University.
