John brings more than 20 years of experience in sustainability advisory, infrastructure development, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) and impact investing.

As the EY Americas Sustainability Advisory Leader, he advises organizations on corporate governance, sustainability strategies, responsible investing, ESG due diligence and ESG risk management. In addition, he leads our climate change and sustainability efforts with government and public sector clients.

During his professional career, he has served as an executive at Business for Social Responsibility; a CEO and entrepreneur of a leading carbon offset and environmental project company; and a World Bank economist. During this time, he has lived on four continents and worked in over 30 countries.

John’s education includes a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, an International MBA from the University of South Carolina, and a degree in International Trade and Finance from Louisiana State University.
