Mike Penrose

Mike has worked on some of the largest and most complex insolvency processes in the jurisdiction, including large cross-border cases and frauds, as well as significant local matters. He has pursued insolvency, fraud and professional negligence matters through multiple jurisdictions, including to the US bankruptcy court and the UK High Court and Court of Appeal, producing significant financial results for creditors.

Mike has led insolvency appointments, advisory matters and financial restructurings in Bermuda across a broad range of sectors including insurance, oil and gas, technology, investment funds and hospitality.

Mike is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association in the UK, is JIEB qualified, and is part of the R3 trade association of insolvency and restructuring professionals. He is also a member of INSOL International, an association of restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy practitioners, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Recovery and Insolvency Specialists Association (RISA) for the Bermuda chapter.
