Ryan, a Principal at Ernst & Young LLP, is part of EY’s Washington Council, where he combines subject matter expertise with personal relationships on and off Capitol Hill to provide services to clients across all industries on a wide variety of domestic and international tax policies.

Prior to joining WCEY, Ryan spent 14 years at the Senate Finance Committee serving under former Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and current Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR). Over the last decade, he served as a key staffer on a variety of tax reform proposals with a focus on international, energy and infrastructure tax.

Ryan has a JD from Washington College of Law at American University and a BA from Dartmouth College.
