Samir is a principal in the FSO Technology Services practice and leads the Nonfinancial Risk practice. His primary focus is establishing and executing the nonfinancial risk technology strategy for financial institutions. Samir is also responsible for managing the alliance with ServiceNow for all risk-related activities for the EY FSO organization.

His experience includes developing comprehensive regulatory reporting solutions; helping implement GRC, RCSA and control automation solutions; and various cloud-based solutions for risk management leveraging ServiceNow and other platforms.

Samir joined the firm from an artificial intelligence startup. Before that, Samir was a principal in the Risk Assurance practice at another Big Four. Samir also was a vice president at another firm leading the Banking and Risk Management practice.

Samir graduated as an engineer from Mumbai University in India. He has a Master of Management from IIT in Mumbai and a PhD in Finance from the University of Alabama.

Samir has developed comprehensive solutions and platforms for regulatory reporting, GRC, RCSA and control automation leveraging ServiceNow and other cloud-based platforms for clients in the financial sector. He leads the ServiceNow Alliance for FSO. Samir has also built the IRM+ campaign, which introduced clients to a modern, cloud-based and platform-centric approach to implementing GRC solutions and managing risks.
