Susan Raffel is a Partner in the Advisory Services practice of EY. She has over 15 years of experience assisting global financial institutions in risk management and regulatory compliance.
 
Susan has advised a range of financial services clients on capital planning and risk governance expectations, leading projects across rules interpretation, program set up, operating model design, capabilities development and production support with a focus on risk frameworks, projections, governance and controls, and documentation. She has also advised multiple financial services clients on enterprise-wide model governance and coordinated large-scale model validation projects.

Susan has advised clients on emerging areas of risk and related impact, such as cyber, operational resiliency, third party risk, digital transformation and emerging technology, and on assessing opportunities for use of advanced analytics within Risk and Compliance.

Susan has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS from University of Virginia.

How Susan is building a better working world

Susan builds a better working world by connecting diverse teams to solve complex problems for her clients and in the community. Outside of her work with clients in financial services, Susan leads a volunteer-based community service organization in New York City called Street Project, a community of young professionals who are passionate about giving back.
