On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Americans will go to the polls to select every member of the US House of Representatives, a third of the US Senate, 36 US governors and most state legislators. In at least a dozen states, voters will decide the fate of several significant state and local tax ballot measures, including California’s proposed one-time 5% wealth tax on billionaires, proposed property tax relief in Florida and North Carolina, and the proposed repeal of Washington’s new income tax on millionaires.
Our panelists will offer insights on what the federal, state and local election results could mean for state and local business taxes and identify the potential economic, legislative and regulatory trends shaping the future of state and local taxation. They will also explore state tax policy considerations for the 2027 legislative sessions.
