Kristen focuses on crisis management during disaster events, helping clients proactively mitigate risks, respond to incidents and provide long-term recovery with federal benefits and funding.
She joined the firm after serving as the Deputy Inspector General of the Office of Inspector General at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Kristen directed performance and compliance audits to assess critical operations and safeguard taxpayer funds. She oversaw reviews of FEMA disaster preparedness and recovery programs. Kristen also implemented digital forensics to identify weaknesses in DHS missions.
As the Assistant Inspector General for Technology and Data Analytics at DHS, she implemented a program to automate technology testing and risk assessments. She also expanded data analytics functions.
Kristen has testified before congressional committees and worked with congressional members and DHS leaders to shape public policy.
She has a BA in Communications from the University of Houston and is a certified project management professional.
