Kristen focuses on risk mitigation and internal controls, helping clients strengthen integrity and compliance through proactive approaches that reduce fraud, waste and abuse risks. She supports technology-enabled analytics, continuous monitoring, and cyber risk compliance and resilience to help advance government agencies’ outcomes.
She previously served as Deputy Inspector General of the Office of Inspector General of Audits at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), directing audits and inspections to assess national operations and assets and safeguard taxpayer funds. She helped expand digital forensic testing and analytics to identify control weaknesses, vulnerabilities and potential fraud. As Assistant Inspector General for Technology and Data Analytics at DHS, she oversaw technical audits and cybersecurity risk assessments.
Kristen has testified before congressional committees and worked with congressional members and DHS leaders to shape public policy.
She has a BA in Communications from the University of Houston and is a certified project management professional.
