Paul Carbonneau

EY Americas Strategy and Transformation Co-Leader

Engineer by training who started his career on the shop floor in the automotive sector. Lived in China and Japan, and speaks Japanese. Former board member of the International Dyslexia Association.

Paul is an established business leader with extensive experience in strategy, operational excellence and organizational transformation across a range of industries and geographies.

Paul is a co-leader for the EY Center for Executive Leadership CEO program, helping top leaders to achieve peak performance, professionally and personally, by providing insights and networking opportunities. Paul specializes in partnering with executive teams to translate investor expectations and link that to strategy, capital allocation and enterprise wide transformation.  

Before EY, Paul had 18 years of consulting, business and turnaround experience. He worked as an operating partner in private equity (PE), supporting CEOs in portfolio companies deliver on the investment thesis. Paul also worked as a partner at a global consulting firm, driving large-scale transformation, strategy and business improvement programs across Fortune 500 companies.  He has sector experience in multiple industries, including industrials, chemicals, automotive, high tech, apparel and consumer products.

Paul has a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Industrial and Operations Engineering, and a bachelor’s in Asian Studies.
