Speakers

  • Fungisai Chambwe, Partner - National Professional Practice Group, Ernst & Young LLP

    Fungisai is a partner in the EY National Professional Practice Group based in New York. She focuses primarily on climate-related matters, leasing and various financial statement presentation topics.

    Prior to this role, Fungisai completed a two-year fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) where she focused on the intersection of ESG matters with financial accounting standards, segment reporting and leases. At the FASB, she also served as the coordinator of the Emerging Issues Task Force. Fungisai previously worked in the EY Assurance practice in Dallas, Texas, where she served public multinational clients in the semiconductor and software-as-a-service industries. Fungisai earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Jackson State University and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and New York and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Jason Bond, Partner, National Professional Practice Group, Ernst & Young LLP

    Jason is a partner in the EY National Professional Practice Group based in New York. He provides technical assistance on accounting issues, with a focus on climate-related matters, leasing and various financial statement presentation topics.

    Prior to this role, Jason completed a fellowship at the FASB where he focused on issues related to revenue recognition and income taxes. At the FASB, Jason also served as the coordinator of the Emerging Issues Task Force. Prior to that, Jason worked in the EY National Professional Practice Group focusing on revenue recognition and financial instrument matters. Previously, he also worked in the EY Assurance practice in New York, serving clients in the asset management and real estate industries.

    Jason received his Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Utah. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of CPAs.

  • Heather Dominey, Managing Director, National Professional Practice Group, Ernst & Young LLP

    Heather is a managing director in the EY National Professional Practice Group based in Atlanta. Heather provides technical assistance to audit engagement teams and clients with a primary focus on compensation topics, including the accounting for share-based payments and postemployment benefits. Heather is also part of the income taxes subject-matter resource team. 

    Heather also serves in our Central Region Professional Practice Group, assisting audit engagement teams and clients on a variety of technical accounting, financial reporting and audit-related matters. Previously, Heather also worked in the EY Assurance practice in Atlanta, serving clients in the life sciences and health industries.

    Heather earned a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Georgia State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Chris White, Partner, National Professional Practice Group, Ernst & Young LLP

    Chris is a partner in our National Professional Practice Group based in Washington, DC. He provides technical accounting assistance to engagement teams and clients on the accounting for income taxes as well as other accounting matters. Chris is also the US Professional Practice Group Technology Liaison. Chris also previously assisted clients in the implementation of ASC 606.

    Prior to joining EY, Chris was an Associate Chief Accountant in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant. In this role, Chris led efforts in US GAAP and IFRS accounting and reporting matters, with a focus on revenue recognition, nonfinancial assets, leasing and consolidation. Chris was responsible for consultations with registrants on current accounting and reporting matters and providing oversight of professional accounting standard-setting bodies.

    Chris graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant in the District of Columbia.
