Gio is a managing director on the Family Office Advisory team. Gio has significant experience in the design, setup and implementation of complex accounting and investment operating models and technology selection.
Gio previously worked at a New York firm in the fund administration industry, leading its Americas business and product development and client delivery for operational, accounting and technology solutions for institutions and asset allocators investing in alternative investments.
Prior to that, he was Global COO of an alternative investment management firm’s Client and Investment Operations division. From London, he oversaw strategic projects for the OTC, multi-manager and fund-of-fund middle office unit building scalable systems for the managed account and structured products platform. He transferred to Zurich, supporting expansion into Continental Europe and North America, integrating middle and back-office systems.
His bachelor’s degree in Commerce is from the University of Western Sydney.
How Gio is building a better working world
Since 2019, Gio has been a trustee and the Treasurer of the Bogliasco Foundation, an American nonprofit with a program in Genoa, Italy, that awards one-month fellowships to individuals of all ages, genders, gender orientation and nationalities who have made significant contributions in the arts and humanities. Having worked and lived on three continents, with his daughter holding three different passports from those regions, Gio is a global citizen and believes everyone on the planet can find a common connection point to build a better global community.
