As the EY Americas Deputy Managing Principal, Marcelo leads operations and strategic projects across the US and Americas geographic area, which represents more than 95,000 people across 33 countries. He also currently serves as a Senior Advisory Partner on select accounts across private equity, telecommunications, hospitality, technology, and food and agriculture.

Prior to this role, Marcelo was the EY US-East Region Vice Chair, leading more than 14,000 professionals across all service lines, helping to drive the markets agenda, delivering business growth and cultivating an inclusive culture. Previously, Marcelo served as EY Americas Deputy Vice Chair – Consulting, supporting all EY strategic and operational aspects of the firm’s Americas consulting business.

With nearly 25 years of experience with the EY organization, Marcelo has also held Regional Risk and Consulting leadership roles, has worked in more than 20 countries across the Americas and Europe and has served as a Global Client Service Partner. He has successfully led major client engagements in several areas including controls, risk transformation, IPO readiness, process improvement and information technology, and has deep sector experience in consumer products, industrial products, energy and technology.

Marcelo currently serves as the Americas Executive Sponsor of the Latinx Professional Network, on the board of trustees and audit committee for Carnegie Hall, and on the board of governors for the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
