Michael is the EY Americas Financial Services Solutions Leader for Digital Assets and Tax. He is responsible for understanding market and regulatory changes and their impact on our clients, as well as the corresponding solutions needed to support them.
Prior to Michael’s current role, he was the Americas Financial Services Indirect Tax Leader. During his four-year term, he was responsible for growing and developing a national indirect tax practice supporting banking and capital markets, wealth and asset management, and insurance sector clients.
With 25 years of experience providing tax services to some of America’s largest financial institutions, Michael thrives on client service and problem-solving. His hands-on, outcome-based approach has allowed him to support clients and their tax programs for two decades.
He earned his BSBA and Master of Accounting from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
