Kamas Rooney is a Partner in the EY National Professional Practice Group where he is responsible for developing interpretive guidance and assisting teams with complex accounting matters. Kamas is primarily focused on credit impairment, transfers, fair value option, cryptocurrency, accounting for investments among other topics.    

Previously, Kamas was a Partner in our Minneapolis Assurance practice and served public and private companies primarily in financial services industries.

Kamas earned a Master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Minnesota and Oklahoma and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Fungisai is a partner in the EY National Professional Practice Group. In this role, she provides technical accounting assistance to audit teams and clients, with a focus on environmental, social and governance accounting matters, leasing, and various financial statement presentation topics.

Previously, Fungisai completed a fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) where she focused on the intersection of ESG matters with financial accounting standards, segment reporting and leasing. At the FASB, she also served as the coordinator of the Emerging Issues Task Force. Fungisai previously worked in the EY Assurance practice in Dallas, serving public multinational clients in the semiconductor and software-as-a-service industries.

Fungisai is a graduate of Jackson State University and the University of Notre Dame. She is a certified public accountant in Texas and New York, and she is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
