Jim leads the EY Americas Professional Practice Group and oversees the quality and risk management activities of EY Assurance services. This includes efforts on audit methodology, standard setting, accounting consultations, system of quality management and regulatory matters.
He previously served as Assurance Managing Partner in the former EY Southeast Region before being named EY Americas Vice Chair — Professional Practice in 2019.
Joining EY in 1987, Jim has served some of the member firm’s largest and most complex audit clients and has gained extensive experience in resolving complex accounting and auditing issues. Over the years, he built a strong track record of creating high-performing, inclusive teams and leading initiatives that have strengthened audit quality. He cares deeply for EY people and their career experience.
Jim attended the University of Southern Mississippi College of Business. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Angela, and two sons, Lane and Cole.
