EY Foundation (US)

The EY Foundation offers' a matching gifts program, which amplifies the philanthropic support provided by active and retired EY partners, principals and employees to accredited US nonprofit colleges and universities. By matching eligible charitable contributions in accordance with program guidelines, the program helps advance academic excellence and expand opportunities for students.

Over the past 10 years, the Foundation has matched more than $10m annually on average in support of higher education institutions.

EY partners, principals and employees who would like to submit a gift for matching may visit EY Gives.

Launched in 2009, College MAP is a multiyear group-mentoring program that empowers students from underserved high schools across the US to access and succeed in higher education.

In addition to mentoring, the program provides scholarships to first-year and continuing college students, helping reduce financial barriers and support academic persistence. Funded through contributions from EY partners, principals and employees, together with annual support from the EY Foundation, the scholarship fund helps students continue their educational journeys and achieve their goals.

Over the past 10+ years, the EY Foundation has awarded more than $9m in scholarships through College MAP.

The EY Career Path Accelerator provides an affordable and flexible pathway to Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure for students pursuing careers in accounting and business. Combining accredited coursework, practical learning experiences and financial aid from the EY Foundation, the program helps participants build the skills and credentials needed to launch and grow their careers.

Since launching in 2021, more than 1,300 current and former EY US interns have enrolled in the program, and the EY Foundation has awarded approximately $1.3m in need-based scholarships.

EYARC Colloquium and other learning events

The EYARC hosts colloquiums and hands-on learning events for faculty showcasing the EYARC resources focusing on emerging topics for the next generation of professionals, such as GenAI.

New Faculty Consortium

The New Faculty Consortium was established in 2003 in conjunction with the American Accounting Association and is open to all PhDs in accounting from Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)- accredited colleges and universities. Over the past 20 years, the EY Foundation has sponsored this program which has helped more than 3,000 new faculty launch their careers. This event, the only education program of its kind, helps jump-start the careers of new faculty through its focus on scholarship, research, teaching and career development.

Tax Educators Symposium

The Foundation convenes an annual symposium to assist tax faculty in staying abreast with the latest technical developments and emerging issues, including the impact of emerging technologies on the tax profession.

The EY Foundation awards approximately $40,000 annually to college and university faculty for outstanding teaching, learning, curriculum, research and innovation.

We offer extensive EY thought leadership, including AccountingLink and a virtual newsstand of current articles, case studies and other publications, including technical accounting guidance and regulatory insights.

We also offer several on-demand webcasts and EYARC account holders receive periodic newsletters providing insights on new curriculum development.

Faculty and staff at not-for-profit higher education institutions may visit the EYARC for access to these resources.

The EY Community Enrichment Fund supports nonprofit organizations dedicated to strengthening local communities. Selected organizations work across a variety of areas, including education, economic empowerment, technology, health care and the environment. This fund builds upon our commitment to social responsibility providing financial support in the communities where we live and work. In the last five years, the EY Foundation has awarded over $3m in grants to more than 15 nonprofit organizations. 

The EY Disaster Relief Fund offers financial support to EY people, their families and communities. Since the fund’s inception in 2018, the Foundation has provided over $7.1m to victims affected by war, natural disasters or other events.
