How pro bono projects are benefiting the greater good

People involved in EY pro bono consulting engagements share stories about their projects and impact.

At Ernst & Young LLP (EY US), we’ve always recognized an intrinsic responsibility to give back to the communities where our people live and work. We’ve seen the need for businesses to look beyond a singular focus on the bottom line and have committed to finding varied ways to serve the community and the philanthropic organizations we believe in.

In FY23, Ernst & Young LPP US invested 4,480 hours across 20 pro bono projects — collaborating with organizations that share our values and align to three core focus areas of EY Ripples, our corporate responsibility initiative:

  • Supporting the next generation
  • Accelerating environmental sustainability
  • Working with impact entrepreneurs

The proactive involvement of our people is the cornerstone of these pro bono initiatives. Their passion, personal connections and genuine desire to exceed expectations drives our work with local and national organizations committed to improving their communities and supporting the underserved.

We sat down with several people involved on both sides of the pro bono engagements to learn more about the consulting projects, their impact and what made the team experience so meaningful.
