Lauren is a Partner in EY’s US Professional Practice Group, where she primarily focuses on SEC reporting matters. She is a member of the Center for Audit Quality’s SEC Regulations Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of XBRL US.

Prior to her current role, Lauren served as a Professional Accounting Fellow at the SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant. Prior to that, Lauren was an Associate Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the District of Columbia and Virginia and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Josh Forgione is a partner in Ernst & Young LLP’s Professional Practice Group and is based in Washington, DC. Josh joined EY after serving on the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and interacts regularly with the SEC staff to resolve issues involving financial accounting and disclosure matters and the interpretation and application of SEC rules and regulations.

Prior to joining EY, Josh served as an Associate Chief Accountant in the SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant where he was a subject matter specialist for various accounting topics including business combinations and consolidation.

Josh earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Washington, DC and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Sally Bishop is a Partner in EY’s US Professional Practice Group, where she primarily focuses on accounting matters related to business combinations, intangible assets (including goodwill), segment reporting and spin-offs. Previously, Sally served on various audit engagements in EY’s Assurance practice in Atlanta, primarily serving clients in the consumer and industrial products manufacturing industries.

Sally rejoined EY as a Partner in July 2023 after serving as a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). In this role, Sally participated in various standard-setting activities including active projects addressing the accounting for crypto assets and segment disclosures, as well as business combination and goodwill accounting-related projects.

Sally is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Georgia.
