Laurence Horobin

EY-Parthenon Associate Partner, Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy, Ernst & Young LLP

Leads business transformation and change in the UK and internationally with a focus on strategic and regulatory driven restructuring. Passionate about delivering sustainable change.

Laurence is an Associate Partner for EY-Parthenon Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team based in London and has been with EY for 18 years, following a career in the City in investment banking and asset management.

His focus is on large, complex, solvent restructuring progammes, typically in financial services clients, which have typically come out of regulatory reform in the UK and Europe over the last few years, but which are now more driven by the need to grow and return to positive ROE territory after a challenging period in the sector.

Laurence has over 20 years of experience in the design and delivery of business change programmes, typically involving developing plans to support the implementation of new business strategy, including; the reorganisation of legal entities; governance and control functions; and the redesign of business and technical operating models.

Previous experience has been in running business operations and control functions for financial services companies through periods of significant growth and change.

How Laurence is building a better working world

“I believe in helping develop and grow talent through sharing experience and knowledge, rather than holding onto it. I have helped both colleagues and clients to build and develop new skills and experiences.

I am also proud of the number of projects that I have worked on and led over the years, that have achieved the objectives of improving service quality and control for the benefit of customers and the organisations involved.“
