Another firm was here for two months and couldn’t work out how we could generate regional balance sheets. You have been able to understand and reconcile the dataset in two weeks.

How EY can help

Building models

In a time of fast-paced change, we deliver operational and financial models tailored to your needs.

Our modelling practice offers services throughout the corporate life cycle, including:

  • identification and screening of potential transactions

  • business planning

  • ongoing performance monitoring, and

  • model building for various corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestures and refinancing operations.

Having the financial models and the databook significantly smoothed the due diligence process. The feedback from the purchaser’s advisors was that they wished they had that level and quality of information on every transaction. It’s been a pleasure dealing with EY. Thank you for your input, expertise and patience with us through the divestment process.

One of the best financial models I have ever seen. Thanks to the EY team.

Reviewing models

Our model review service reviews around 130 models each year and gives our clients comfort and assurance on their models, helping safeguard investor returns and augment their financial due diligence or internal control processes. We work with them to define the scope of the assignment and tailor our final report to its specific requirements. Our team employs structured review methods using our own proprietary model review tools to enhance the review process, and provide an independent perspective.

Client financial modelling training

Our busy financial modelling training centre runs client training events every month. Each course aims to provide an understanding of the principles behind constructing an integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow model from start to finish, through a well-balanced mix of theory and practical exercises. Client feedback is strong, and our list of training alumni growing.

The course facilitator was passionate about business modelling and transmitted that enthusiasm to the participants.

The event was very engaging, interesting and highly relevant. I took a great deal away from it and I’m looking forward to practicing everything I have learned.
