Seema Farazi

Seema is the EY Global Immigration Leader for Government Affairs and Financial Services and the EY EMEIA Immigration Leader. She works with global governments on transformative immigration policy, driven by environmental, social and governance (ESG) values. Seema supports EY clients on global immigration, cross-border remote work, strategic global talent location, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), risk, compliance and multi-jurisdiction private client cases. She leads on geostrategic and climate migration.

Seema has spent 20 years at the leading-edge of immigration law, practicing at leading chambers in complex immigration, extradition and international law cases before moving to corporate practice. She has co-authored award-winning reports on immigration policy and remote working and was the Consultancy Lead for Talent and Skills in the UK’s landmark Kalifa Review of Fintech.

“My role is to protect and help enable clients across the globe and their people as they navigate complex regulatory frameworks at a time of continued disruption, reframing collective futures and doing better around unseen individual challenges, unconscious bias, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and sustainability. I am proud to co-lead our initiatives around refugee employment integration and have throughout my career acted pro bono extensively in cases supporting refugees, families in difficult cross-border circumstances, internally displaced persons and those at risk of destitution.”
