Tze Ping Chng

In the last 20 years, Tze has served many of the largest insurers in the world. Tze started his career in New York before relocating to Hong Kong in 2008. He has in-depth insurance industry knowledge, acting as adviser to board members and senior management of insurance companies in transforming their business. In recent years, Tze has also assisted new entrants including private equity firms and non-financial services companies into the insurance industry. 

Tze graduated Summa cum laude from Drake University. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

How is Tze Ping building a better working world

“I am excited to be located in one of the fastest growing regions in the world.  We work with regulators and insurers in shaping the regulatory landscape and insurance offerings to benefit the society.  We need to embrace inclusive capitalism, where we focus not only on short term profits, but also on the outcomes for our people, policyholders, communities, and the environment.  In recent years, insurers have promoted and rewarded healthy lifestyles, though more can be done.

Similarly, I strongly believe in providing the right environment for our people to succeed. This could mean taking up a leadership role, or for them to be a better father, wife, volunteer, etc.  By considering other stakeholders in our business, I have seen how we can all thrive, succeed, and build a better working world together.”
