The client was in the midst of a major technology transformation, including a migration of the majority of the company’s applications and support infrastructure to cloud environments. The client’s security organization was tasked to execute this major technology migration so that the business’s exposure to unnecessary cyber risk was limited.
▉ The solution
The EY team leveraged cloud security industry-leading frameworks and practices to recommend designs for cloud security baseline configurations, assess current configurations and cloud readiness, and recommend an approach to implement secure application migration processes, threat and vulnerability monitoring, and a governance structure.
▉ The outcome
The client was able to operationalize the company’s cloud security framework through automation with continuous monitoring technologies. The established cloud security program is expected to accelerate the company’s cloud enablement via simplified cloud governance, process enhancement, identity and access management, preventive controls, detective controls, alerts, threat and vulnerability monitoring, incident response, and platform and application readiness.
