EY Foundation (US)

Through the Foundation's matching gifts program, eligible gifts from active and retired EY partners, principals and personnel to US accredited, non-profit higher education institutions are matched in accordance with program guidelines.

Over the past 10 years, the Foundation has matched on average over $10 million per year in gifts for academic institutions to foster academic opportunity and excellence.

Launched in 2009, College MAP is EY's signature volunteer program in education. It is a multi-year, group-mentoring program focused on empowering students in underserved high schools across the US so that they can gain access to college and succeed in higher education.

The program also offers scholarships for both first year and continuing students to help fill the gap between financial means and college expenses. In addition to donations from partners, principals and employees, the EY Foundation also contributes annually to the scholarship fund.

Over the past 10 years, the EY Foundation has awarded over $7 million in scholarships.

The EY Career Path Accelerator provides an accessible and affordable pathway for students to meet the education requirements for CPA licensure in their state. Through profession-relevant coursework and job-related learning, this program equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their careers, while also providing them with the opportunity to enter the workforce after completing an undergraduate degree. The accredited courses in this program are offered at an affordable price with financial aid available through the EY Foundation.

Since its launch in the summer of 2021, approximately 1,000 EY US current and former interns have enrolled in the program, and $1 million in need-based scholarships have been awarded. To learn more, visit EY Career Path Accelerator | EY - US.

The Foundation supports a number of events for faculty, including:

EYARC Colloquium

The EYARC hosts colloquiums and hands-on learning events for faculty showcasing the EYARC curriculum material focusing on topics of critical importance to the next generation of professionals, such as generative AI.

New Faculty Consortium

Over the past 20 years, the EY Foundation’s New Consortium has helped more than 3,000 new faculty launch their careers. This event, the only education program of its kind, helps jump-start the careers of new faculty through its focus on scholarship, research, teaching and career development.

Tax Educators Symposium

The Foundation convenes an annual symposium to assist tax faculty in staying abreast with the latest technical developments and emerging issues, including the impact of emerging technologies on the tax profession.

The EY Foundation awards approximately $40,000 annually to college and university faculty for outstanding teaching, learning, curriculum, research and innovation.

We offer extensive EY thought leadership, including AccountingLink and a virtual newsstand of current articles, case studies and other publications, including technical accounting guidance and regulatory insights.

We also offer on-demand webcasts and EYARC account holders receive periodic newsletters providing insights on new curriculum development.

Faculty and staff at not-for-profit higher education institutions may visit the EYARC.

The EY Social Justice Fund supports nonprofit organizations dedicated to increasing the engagement, access and influence of under-resourced communities. Selected organizations work across a variety of domains including education, economic empowerment, technology, health care and the environment. Since its inception in 2021, this fund has awarded over $10.6 million in direct grants.

The EY Disaster Relief Fund offers financial support to EY people, their families and communities. Since the fund’s inception in 2018, the Foundation has provided over $7.1 million to victims affected by war, natural disasters or other events.
